BBC Language Link

In the words of Alannis Morrisette, "Isn't it ironic?" I was just flipping through news websites, as I tend to do several times a day, and on the BBC News site, there's a blurb at the side: "Learn a new language in 2005 in just 30 minutes a week". Since I decided only today to brush up on my French and start learning German, this is quite a coincidence. I've already ordered three books from Amazon.

The BBC has guides to learning French, German, Spanish and Italian. There is also a bit of help in learning such languages as Greek, Japanese, Chinese and Portugese. Or how about a crash course in Welsh or Gaelic? Oh, and they're cheap too. In fact, they're free. Just within my price range.

At least on a day when I'm so bored, I have something to do now. I think I'll start with German.
