Goals are still going ...
I haven't forgotten my New Year's goals. Not yet. I know it's only a few days into the New Year. Maybe having this blog will help remind me. I've taken Malorie shopping, I've been up to see Shell and my godson, and I've dropped Pete a few emails. I've been trying to get on top of my studies.
And I've taken steps to do something "frivolous": I've ordered some historical romance novels. Yes, total fluff and nothing heavy. All sweating bodies and flowery phrases. The stuff that normally makes my stomach churn, as a novelist-wannabe.
The fact is that when I need to wind down and relax, there's nothing I like more than reading this kind of book. There's no concentration involved. Face it, after studying tort law, criminological research methods and criminological theory, a bit of "throbbing manhood" and "deflowering virgins" is a welcome, um, er, release? Not literally.
