Neighbours From Hell, the Christmas Story
As promised in my earlier post, here is a picture of my neighbours across the road. How do you like the spotlight? Now, even when that isn't on (it's on a motion detector), I still have the bright glow of Christmas lights shining into my living room.
It really does take a lot for me to complain about my neighbours, so you can tell how much these wind me up!

I'd make sure you have the fire service on speed-dial!
That's soooooooo tacky!!
I'm waiting to see if they put up more over the next couple of weeks! :-O
Whatever you do, DON'T start a neighbourhood competition to see who can put up the best decorations!!!
Yeah, for some reason when my neighbours decided to import the idea of putting lights on their houses for Christmas from America, they didn't quite get the idea that sometimes less is more! One of my lecturers mentioned in the pub the other night that it's only been in the past few years that people have started putting lights on the outside of their houses in this country. Of course, I grew up seeing it. But I never saw anything like this! The tacky woman across the road isn't the only one who has done this. One of Braden's friends' parents has done exactly the same around the corner from us!
What?!?! You mean they're breedin'? Gah! O.O
Oh, you know, the putting up of Christmas lights has really fallen off over here in the U.S. You don't see it so much anymore. There are places where you do still see it a lot, but based on my observations, not as many are doing it anymore.
I can tell you that we don't do it. Hell, we don't even have a tree up right now.
I only have a few lights in the window, plus the tree and the wreath on the door. I've chosen to spend the decorating money on CHRISTMAS DINNER!!!!!!!!! There's no way I'm counting points Christmas Day!
