I can't help it, guys. I just have to reiterate my amazement at the way these people so ostentatiously spend their money. Not just that, but they have to make sure everyone knows it! I can just see the headlines when their kids are older -- rich brats doing what they like, when they like.

Brooklyn's B'Day Bonanza

If your parents earn shed loads, you'd probably expect to get pretty hefty presents.

So little Brooklyn Beckham might not be gobsmacked when he unwraps some of his gifts for his sixth birthday.

The youngster is all set to be a mini me of his famous footballing dad David when he dons his new £25,000 pair of diamond earrings.

Becks senior is well-known for his penchant for a spot of bling, but now it seems he and wife Victoria are keen for their eldest son to copy the fashion.

Brooklyn's new ear adornments have been especially made by designer Jacob the Jeweller as a scaled down version of David's £75,000 pair.

Aside from his actual birthday bash at their Madrid villa - reported to be costing about £10,000 - Brooklyn is also going to be the proud owner of a new 2-storey Wendy house.

The new installation will be built at the family's Herfordshire home, however Brooklyn must share it with his two younger brothers, Romeo, 2, and baby Cruz.

According to the Daily Mail, other presents Brooklyn has received over the years include a Jacob's of New York watch (a replica of Daddy's) worth £6,000, a baby Porsche (like Daddy's) worth £5,000, and a mini Hummer car (like Daddy's full-size one) worth £22,000.

It's expected that Brooklyn's godmother, Liz Hurley, and Becks' Real team-mates Michael Owen and Zinedine Zidane will all be attending today's birthday party with their kids.
