More on Further Education!

So far so good! I emailed the course leader in charge of the MSc I'm wanting to do, and his reply was far better than I could have hoped!

Hi Melinda,
Actually the MSc sounds particularly perfect for yourself. Yes, current expectation is that the Msc will be a permanent feature (at least for the foreseeable future). The University is
increasingly placing emphasis on learning over different disciplines. The MSc subsequently has support from the very highest levels within the University.

In terms of whether you are eligible the answer is a resounding yes. The Programme contains 3 core law modules namely Legal Methodology, Evidence and Criminal Law. You shall obviously benefit coming from a partial law background (some students shall not have any prior legal experience). In addition to the law modules students select options. The Programme offers modules in Forensic Criminology. The MSc thus builds on your undergraduate degree in a perfect way. In terms of previous study the Law / Crim degree is perfect.

In addition to your specialised field of study (law / crim) you shall also be exposed to views from forensic scientists, engineers, accountants and psychologists. In this way you'll gain an overview awareness of forensics in a diverse range of disciplines.

I share your excitement on this Programme. It should be extremely interesting and build on yuor degree. When you're in the 3rd year drop me an email and we can discuss the MSc further. A prospectus should be available shortly.

Now I need to figure out how to save £3200 before September 2006! Summer jobs and lots of candle sales!
