No Feeding Kids to Crocs!

Steve Irwin is my third favourite Aussie, but I have to admit that the man is a few tomatoes short of a salad!

LAW SNAPS ON CROC STUNTS

Children and untrained adults have been banned from crocodile enclosures in Australia following actions by 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin.

In an episode of Irwin's programme, the wildlife enthusiast and documentary maker fed deadly reptiles while holding his baby at his zoo in Australia.

Footage showed him dishing out chicken to a 13-ft crocodile while clutching one-month-old Bob in his other arm.

The incident was internationally condemned and Queensland state authorities were prompted to bring in new rules at wildlife parks.

Industrial Relations Minister Tom Barton said: "The revised guidelines clearly state that a child should not enter an enclosure.

"A child's reflexes, depth perception and ability to react in an emergency are far less well developed than an adult's."

The crocodile enclosures will also be off-limits to adult members of the public and untrained parks employees.

Irwin defended his actions at the time, saying he was in complete control and it was part of responsible training for his children who live there with him and wife Terri.
