Four More Years

Oh god. He wants to rid the world of tyranny. This does not bode well for world peace.

I have to say my hat is off to the protester who managed to get close enough to shout, "Hey Bush where are the Poor? Did you ship them off to war?"

That wasn't you, was it Gary?

I'll tell you what really bothered me, and I never thought about it until this election (even though the same thing has happened with every previous incumbent): Why is it necessary to spend all that money to make such a big to-do about someone who is staying in office? I can see it when a new person is put into office, but when re-election has occurred, what's the point? To gloat? I can understand the legal necessity for taking the Oath of Office. In the case of re-election, though, why not just make it a ceremony that is as small as possible? Say, something that can be contained within the walls of Congress. Reduce the need for extravagant security expenditures, not to mention all the other concomitant costs.

Great minds think alike. I wondered the same thing. I also wondered how many people in Asia or even how many starving people in Africa ... how many starving people in AMERICA could be fed using the money Laura Bush spent on a dress?
